Duncan City Totem Tour
In the winter months you can enjoy a self-guided Duncan City Totem Tour by following the yellow footprints around the downtown core in the city of Duncan. You will experience a wonderful outdoor event by viewing over 40 totem poles, including the world widest one. This is a free event for which you can pick up a map from Duncan Cowichan Visitor center at 361 Trans Canada Highway. Deryk Houston's work was featured in the National Film Board of Canada documentary, "From Baghdad to Peace Country" and has been exhibited in one man exhibitions in the former Soviet Union, Scotland, Iraq, and the USA. Deryk's work is included in many private and public collections including the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. He has completed large scale ground art projects in Iraq, Canada, and Scotland in support of children's rights. Phillipa Hudson: Coastal Magic
Victoria artist Phillipa Hudson recently received a prestigious commission from the Fairmont Hotel - Chateau Lake Louise to create three large 6’ x 8’ paintings to be installed June, 2013. Phillipa Hudson was born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), and obtained an arts degree at the University of Cape Town before working in London and Cambridge in England. She moved to Canada in the late 1970's and to Vancouver Island in 1981. Eclectic is pleased to present Phee in her latest show- "Coastal Magic".
