Boswell
The small lakeside resort town of Boswell is located on the east shore of the south arm of Kootenay Lake, south of Lockhart Beach Park.

Location: Boswell is located on Highway 3A on the eastern shore of Kootenay Lake, 24 miles (38 km) south of the eastern terminal of the Kootenay Lake ferry at Kootenay Bay, and 28 miles (44 km) north of Creston.
  • Nearby Lockhart Beach Provincial Park is a small, beautifully forested park offering a hiking trail along Lockhart Creek, a nice sandy beach and a picnic/day-use area.
  • Anglers can try their luck for Rainbow trout, which are plentiful in Lockhart Creek. Fishing in British Columbia.
  • The famous Glass House in Boswell features half a million empty embalming fluid bottles used to build a curiously beautiful house. The house was begun in 1952 when the late David H. Brown retired from thirty five years in the funeral business. Starting the house "to indulge a whim of a peculiar nature", the retired undertaker travelled western Canada collecting bottles from friends in the funeral profession to add to his own collection, until he had acquired half a million of the square shaped bottles, weighing 250 tons in all. The Glass House was meant to the Brown's home, but the project attracted the curiosity of passers-by from the start. Finally, suffering from complete lack of privacy, they employed a staff and admitted the curious to view their masterpiece.
  • Golf: Golfers will need to head north or south on Highway 3A for a game of golf, to the 18-hole championship Kokanee Springs Golf Resort in Crawford Bay, or the 2 courses in Creston; Creston Golf Club, 3 miles south of Creston off Highway 21, and Canyon Heights Golf Course, in nearby Canyon BC. Golf Vacations in the BC Rockies.
  • See the best of the area on The Okanagan and BC Rockies Circle Tour. Travel the sunny interior of British Columbia, north through the Okanagan to Sicamous, following Highway 1 into the mountains of the BC Rockies. From Golden, head south through the Columbia Valley to Creston, and west through Boundary Country and the Southern Okanagan to complete the loop. Circle Tours in BC.
